Job Summary:



The Assistant Team Lead - I, Quality will be responsible for leading the QA function by planning, designing, and executing detailed test strategies across web and mobile applications. This role involves hands-on testing (manual and automation), coordinating testing efforts across functional and performance areas, and mentoring QA team members. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical expertise in testing methodologies, experience with automation tools like Selenium, UIPath, Appium, and have prior experience in leading small QA teams.

Key Responsibilities:



1. Quality Assurance Planning & Execution o Develop detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases. o Estimate, prioritize, and plan testing activities based on project requirements. o Perform functional, regression, performance (load, stress, reliability), and mobile application testing.

2. Automation & Tool Utilization o Design, develop, and execute automation scripts using Selenium, UIPath, and Appium. o Maintain and enhance existing automation frameworks and test suites. o Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines where applicable.

3. Defect Management & Debugging o Identify, document, and track bugs thoroughly using defect tracking tools. o Collaborate with developers and product managers to resolve issues. o Perform regression testing after bug fixes to ensure resolution.

4. Collaboration & Requirement Analysis o Liaise with cross-functional teams to identify system requirements and quality parameters. o Investigate non-conforming software behavior and help in implementing effective solutions. o Support product managers with test feedback during sprint reviews and planning.

5. Team Leadership & Mentoring o Supervise and guide a QA team of 2-3 members. o Allocate tasks, conduct regular reviews, and support individual development. o Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing within the team.

6. Testing Methodology & Documentation o Ensure adherence to QA best practices, documentation standards, and industry methodologies including BDD. o Maintain proper QA documentation including test cases, bug logs, and test reports. o Monitor and improve overall test coverage and quality benchmarks.

Required Qualifications:



Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 5-7 years of experience in software QA including leadership of small QA teams. o Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, test cycles, and SDLC. Hands-on experience in automation testing using Selenium, UIPath, and Appium.

Skills and Experience:



Testing Expertise: Functional, regression, and performance testing across web and mobile platforms.
Automation Skills: Strong experience in test automation frameworks and tools.

Bug Tracking: Experience in tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or equivalent. Team Management: Prior experience in mentoring and managing QA team members. o Analytical Skills: Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Communication: Clear verbal and written communication skills, ability to collaborate across teams. Documentation: Proficient in preparing detailed test plans, reports, and testing documentation.

Pay: ?50,000.00 - ?75,000.00 per month
