We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Assistant Teacher to join our dance program As an Assistant Teacher - Dance, you will support the lead dance teacher in providing dance instruction to students of various age groups and skill levels You will assist in planning and delivering dance lessons, organizing performances, and fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment Key Responsibilities: Assisting Dance Instruction: Support the lead dance teacher in delivering dance instruction to students Assist with warm-up exercises, dance routines, technique training, and choreography Provide individualized attention and feedback to students, helping them improve their dance skills and performance Lesson Planning: Collaborate with the lead teacher in developing lesson plans and class schedules Assist in selecting appropriate music, dance styles, and choreography for each class Contribute creative ideas to enhance the learning experience and engage students in dance activities Classroom Management: Help maintain a well-organized and safe dance studio environment Assist in setting up the dance studio, preparing equipment, and ensuring proper use and maintenance of dance props and equipment Support in managing student behavior, maintaining discipline, and fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere Performance Preparation: Assist in preparing students for dance performances, recitals, or competitions Coordinate rehearsals, costume fittings, and stage preparations Provide guidance and support to students during performances, ensuring they feel confident and prepared Student Progress and Evaluation: Help monitor and assess student progress in dance skills and technique Assist in tracking attendance, maintaining records, and updating student profiles Provide feedback to students on their strengths and areas for improvement Support the lead teacher in conducting assessments, evaluations, or dance examinations, if applicable Communication and Collaboration: Maintain open and effective communication with students, parents, and other dance staff Address inquiries, concerns, and provide updates on students\' progress Collaborate with the lead teacher and other assistants to ensure a cohesive and coordinated dance program Participate in team meetings and professional development activities Safety and Well-being: Ensure the safety and well-being of students during dance classes and rehearsals Follow appropriate safety protocols and emergency procedures Monitor students\' physical health, hydration, and address any injuries or discomfort promptly Create a positive and encouraging environment that promotes student self-esteem and confidence Professional Development: Stay updated on dance trends, techniques, and teaching methods Attend workshops, training sessions, and conferences to enhance dance knowledge and teaching skills Continuously seek opportunities for personal and professional growth in the field of dance education
