Key Responsibilities
Receive incoming goods, inspect deliveries for quantity, quality and accuracy against purchase orders or delivery notes.
Store items in designated locations in the warehouse or storeroom, ensuring correct labeling, rotation (FIFO / FEFO as applicable), safe handling.
Issue stock to departments/sections as required, ensuring timely and accurate supply.
Maintain inventory records: update stock movement (inward, outward, transfers), returns, adjustments.
Conduct regular physical counts / cycle counts, reconcile records, report discrepancies.
Monitor stock levels, identify slow-moving, excess or obsolete items; assist in reporting.
Ensure the storeroom / warehouse / back-store area is kept clean, safe, well organised, and in compliance with health & safety/regulatory standards.
Support loss-prevention: check for damaged goods, theft, expiry, ensure stock is secured properly.
Coordinate with purchasing/procurement, store operations or logistics teams as required.
Operate basic stock/inventory software or ERP modules; maintain documentation and store reports as required.
