We are seeking a motivated and energetic Assistant Store Manager to support our store leadership and help drive our mission of delivering quality, freshness, and outstanding service.
Job Summary:
The Assistant Store Manager is the second-in-command at the store, playing a vital role in supporting the Store Manager across all aspects of daily operations. You will help lead the team, drive sales, manage inventory, and ensure an exceptional customer experience. Key Responsibilities:
Operational Support:
Assist the Store Manager in overseeing all day-to-day store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and daily reporting.
Team Supervision:
Supervise and motivate the team of store associates, assigning daily tasks, monitoring performance, and ensuring productivity. Act as the manager on duty in the Store Manager's absence.
Sales & Customer Service:
Help drive store sales by ensuring the team is actively engaging with customers, providing product knowledge, and delivering excellent service. Address customer questions and resolve complaints effectively.
Inventory & Merchandising:
Assist with inventory management, including monitoring stock levels, participating in ordering and receiving, and ensuring accurate stock counts. Uphold high standards for visual merchandising, making sure displays are attractive and well-stocked.
Training & Development:
Support the Store Manager in training new hires and providing ongoing coaching to the team on product knowledge, sales techniques, and operational procedures.
Compliance:
Help enforce all company policies, including health, safety, and hygiene standards, ensuring a safe and clean environment for both staff and customers.
Qualifications & Skills:
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a retail environment, preferably in grocery, FMCG, or fresh produce.
At least 1 year of experience in a supervisory role (e.g., Team Lead, Shift Supervisor, or Key Holder).
Strong leadership potential with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A customer-focused mindset and a passion for driving sales.
Good organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Basic math skills and familiarity with POS (Point-of-Sale) systems.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
