Job Description

A Store In charge and a Purchase Officer have distinct yet interconnected responsibilities. The Store In charge focuses on managing the physical inventory within a store or warehouse, while the Purchase Officer focuses on the procurement of goods and services. Both roles are crucial for maintaining efficient operations and cost-effectiveness within an organization.

Store In charge Responsibilities:

Inventory Management:

Maintaining accurate records of all stock, including receiving, storing, and issuing goods.

Stock Control:

Monitoring stock levels, identifying discrepancies, and initiating purchase requests when needed.

Warehouse Operations:

Ensuring the efficient organization and maintenance of the storage area, including proper handling and storage of materials.

Order Fulfilment:

Processing and fulfilling internal orders for materials and supplies.

Maintaining a Clean and Organized Store:

Ensuring the store or warehouse is clean, safe, and well-organized.

Compliance:

Ensuring adherence to safety and inventory control procedures.
Purchase Officer Responsibilities:

Sourcing and Procurement:

Identifying potential suppliers, negotiating prices and contracts, and placing purchase orders.

Vendor Management:

Evaluating vendor performance, maintaining good supplier relationships, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.

Cost Control:

Analysing purchase costs, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and managing budgets.

Compliance:

Ensuring all procurement activities adhere to company policies and legal regulations.

Inventory Planning:

Working with other departments to forecast future needs and plan inventory levels.

Quality Assurance:
