Key Responsibilities

Assist in supervising security guards and ensuring proper coverage across all hospital areas. Monitor critical zones including emergency rooms, ICUs, wards, pharmacies, parking areas, and entrances. Manage access control for restricted areas such as operation theaters, laboratories, and administrative offices. Ensure smooth and safe movement of patients, visitors, and staff within the hospital. Handle crowd management in ERs, waiting areas, and outpatient departments. Support staff in controlling aggressive or non-compliant visitors or patients, following hospital protocols. Assist in locating missing patients or unattended individuals. Respond immediately to emergencies such as fires, medical codes, security breaches, or violence. Assist in hospital evacuation procedures and fire drills. Coordinate with medical teams during critical incidents (e.g., Code Red, Code Blue, Code Black depending on the hospital). Provide support during disaster management and mass-casualty situations. Enforce hospital safety policies, visitor rules, and infection-control protocols. Ensure proper identification and registration of visitors. Support enforcement of COVID-19 or other disease-control measures when applicable. Help safeguard high-value medical equipment and pharmaceuticals. Maintain daily security logs and surveillance reports. Prepare incident reports for any unusual or emergency situations. Ensure proper documentation of patient belongings and lost-and-found items. Assist in scheduling, training, and guiding the security staff. Conduct briefings before each shift. Coordinate with nursing staff, administration, and emergency teams for integrated security operations.
