Job Description

The Assistant Security Officer supports the Security Officer in maintaining a safe and secure environment for people, property, and assets. The role involves monitoring premises, enforcing security policies, assisting with incident response, and ensuring compliance with organizational safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in patrolling assigned areas to prevent and detect security breaches Monitor CCTV systems, alarms, and access control points Control entry and exit of staff, visitors, and vehicles Report suspicious activities, safety hazards, or policy violations Assist in responding to emergencies such as fire, theft, medical incidents, or evacuations Maintain accurate security logs, incident reports, and daily activity records Support investigations by gathering information and evidence when required Enforce company rules, regulations, and security procedures Provide courteous assistance and directions to visitors and staff Coordinate with senior security staff and external emergency services when necessary

Qualifications & Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent (required) Prior experience in security or a related field (preferred) Basic knowledge of security operations and safety procedures Ability to remain alert and calm under pressure Good communication and observation skills Physically fit to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods Willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
