The Assistant Sales Manager will be responsible for supporting the sales function by developing new business opportunities, managing client relationships, and achieving sales targets for steel products. The role involves coordinating with production, logistics, and finance teams to ensure timely order fulfillment and customer satisfaction, while expanding the company's market presence in the steel industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Sales Manager in achieving monthly and annual sales targets
Identify and develop new B2B customers, distributors, and institutional buyers in domestic and export markets.
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients through regular follow-ups and excellent customer service.
Prepare and present sales proposals, quotations, and tender documents.
Conduct market research to identify demand trends, competitor activities, and pricing strategies.
Coordinate with the
production, logistics, and dispatch teams
to ensure timely order execution and delivery.
Monitor outstanding payments, assist in collections, and ensure adherence to credit policies.
Maintain accurate sales records, prepare daily/weekly sales reports, and share MIS with the management team.
Support the Sales Manager in strategic planning, pricing decisions, and expansion of market share.
Qualifications & Skills:
Any degree.
1-3 years of experience in
sales within the steel / manufacturing / heavy industries
.
Strong knowledge of steel products and their applications in construction, infrastructure, and industrial sectors.
Proven track record of meeting sales targets and managing client accounts.
