Job Summary

The Assistant Sales Manager - Chemicals is responsible for supporting the Sales Manager in driving sales growth of chemical products by managing key customers, assisting the sales team, and developing new business opportunities. The role involves technical coordination, customer relationship management, market development, and achievement of assigned sales targets while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in planning and executing sales strategies for industrial, specialty, or commodity chemicals Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets assigned by management Develop and maintain relationships with key customers such as manufacturers, traders. Coordinate product trials, technical discussions, and customer evaluations with the technical team Prepare and submit quotations, pricing proposals, and contract documentation Monitor order execution, dispatch schedules, and payment collections Analyze market trends, customer requirements, and competitor activities Ensure compliance with chemical safety, regulatory, and documentation requirements (MSDS, COA, REACH, etc., as applicable) Address customer complaints, quality issues, and service-related concerns effectively Maintain accurate sales records, forecasts, and CRM updates

Required Skills & Competencies

Strong sales, negotiation, and relationship management skills Good understanding of chemical products, applications, and customer processes Ability to coordinate between sales, production, quality, and logistics teams Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities Effective communication and presentation skills Proficiency in MS Office, CRM, and ERP systems

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree

Experience

2 - 4 years of experience in chemical sales (industrial, textile, pharma, coatings, or specialty chemicals)

Other Requirements

Willingness to travel extensively as per business needs Knowledge of domestic and/or export markets will be an advantage Awareness of industry regulations and safety standards
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ?35,000.00 - ?45,000.00 per month
