Job Summary:

The Assistant Sales Manager is responsible for supporting the Sales & Marketing team in generating revenue, building client relationships, and driving business for the hotel. The role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, assisting in account management, and ensuring smooth execution of sales strategies aligned with the hotel's positioning as a 5-star Ecotel property.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development:

Assist in identifying and developing new corporate, leisure, and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions) business. Support the Sales Manager in managing existing key accounts and ensuring repeat business.

Client Relationship Management:

Conduct sales calls, client meetings, and site inspections to promote the hotel's rooms, banquet, and F&B offerings. Build strong relationships with travel agents, corporate clients, and event planners.

Sales Support & Coordination:

Assist in preparing proposals, contracts, and rate agreements. Coordinate with internal departments (Front Office, Banquets, F&B) to ensure seamless guest experience for booked events and stays.

Market Research:

Track competitor activities, pricing trends, and market demand to identify potential opportunities. Provide inputs for promotional campaigns and marketing initiatives.

Reporting & Administration:

Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions in the CRM system. Prepare daily/weekly sales reports and assist in achieving monthly sales targets.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor's degree/diploma in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field. 7-9 years of experience in hotel sales, preferably in a 4 or 5-star property. Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Knowledge of the Mumbai market and corporate/travel trade contacts is an advantage. Ability to work under pressure and achieve targets. Familiarity with eco-friendly and sustainable hospitality practices is desirable.
