Your day to day
Financial returns: . Works with Manager in the preparation and management of the Department's budget . Sells to new, existing and prospective customers considering goals set forth in the sales strategy, negotiating an optimum rate for the benefit of the business . Assesses sales and marketing data . Assists in the evaluation of sales and marketing activities . Execute advertising/creative briefs in a timely manner . Monitors local competitors and compare their operation with his/her operation . Keeps aware of trends, systems, practices and equipment in audiovisual through trade literature, hotel show and site visits . Provides direction on and conducts market research . Implement direction from the Director of Sales and Marketing and Regional Managers People: . Works with superior on manpower planning and management needs . Participate in daily briefings and other meetings as needed to obtain optimal results . Works with superiors in the preparation and management of the Department's budget . Plan and conduct familiarization tours and site inspections . Travel when required to promote the hotel and develop potential business . Liaise with Reservations for space allocation and priority . Conducts sales visits, telephone calls, writes letters, sends emails and extends invitations to clients to visit the hotel . Entertain clients with the object of securing business or strengthening ties when required Guest experience: . Monitors competitor's activities and assists in marketing intelligence . Refers sales leads to appropriate personnel within the InterContinental Hotels Group . Sells to new, existing and prospective customers considering goals set forth in the sales strategy, negotiating an optimum rate for the benefit of the business . Services existing business through management of account bases . Sell all facets of the hotel . Develop and maintain a regular pattern of sales calls, meeting with principals of the target market . Builds profile within the local marketplace through attendance at various events and local marketplace Responsible business: . Develop awareness and reputation of the hotel and the brand in the local community. . Coordinate safety and security initiatives to ensure meetings flow smoothly with minimal interruptions or problems. Coach and advise clients on meeting options and alternatives that potentially reduce waste, save energy and have a minimal environmental impact. Perform other duties as assigned. May also serve as the manager on duty.
What we need from you
Minimum of 2 years of Sales experience in 4* or 5* Hotel property Hospitality degree or equivalent Excellent customer relations, problem-solving and time management skills Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office and Opera Sales Proven ability to create new business opportunities Assertive, professional and positive with a proven ability to develop in a team environment Must be able to work independently and maintain a positive attitude within a very busy environment With valid driver's license is preferred
