Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Quality Manager to support our Quality Management function in a sheet metal manufacturing unit. The role involves overseeing quality assurance processes, ensuring adherence to industry standards, maintaining documentation, and assisting in continuous improvement initiatives to achieve the highest levels of product quality and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Quality Manager in implementing and maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS).

Conduct in-process and final product inspections for sheet metal components.

Monitor and ensure compliance with ISO/TS standards and customer specifications.

Support internal audits, external audits, and supplier quality audits.

Analyze non-conformities, prepare corrective & preventive action reports, and ensure timely closure.

Train shop-floor operators on quality procedures, inspection methods, and defect prevention.

Collaborate with production, design, and purchase teams to resolve quality-related issues.

Maintain accurate documentation for inspections, calibration records, and quality reports.

Drive continuous improvement activities using Lean and Six Sigma tools.

Requirements:

Bachelor's/Diploma in Mechanical/Production Engineering or related field.

4-7 years of experience in quality control/quality assurance in a sheet metal or fabrication industry.

Knowledge of quality tools such as 7 QC Tools, SPC, PPAP, APQP, FMEA, and MSA.

Familiarity with ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 standards.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in MS Office and basic ERP systems.

Good communication skills in English & Kannada (preferred).

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
