ABOUT THE POSITION

Position: Assistant Quality Assurance Specialist \xe2\x80\x93 Hard Lines.

Department: Quality Assurance/Quality Control.

Location: Vapi, Gujrat.

• Provide QA advice to factories before and during the manufacturing process
• Check samples against product specifications to ensure that they meet customers\xe2\x80\x99 quality standards
• Provide technical support to merchandisers, factories, and customers to ensure product quality
• Monitor and extend advice to factories before and during the manufacturing process
• Conduct in-line and final product inspections and provide advice and solutions on technical issues (e.g., construction of products/materials) considering the features and limitations of products and materials
• Provide QA advice on complex product items to factories before and during the manufacturing process
• Conduct factory audits to ensure that factories meet international/customers compliance standards
• Report and troubleshoot quality issues from bulk production samples sample to garment finish
• Ensuring the finished garment is to specification
• Fabric pre-production quality checks (refer to the quality manual)
• Work closely with all operational departments related to the product
• Communicating all quality issues arising from testing and assessment of the product to all key stakeholders
• Setting and communicating tolerance levels to key stakeholders
• Defining and implementing quality assurance methodologies into the production area
• Perform other duties as assigned by management

Requirements

• A diploma or Degree in a related discipline preferred
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
• Knowledge of ISO9000/ISO14000/AQL 2.5/4 is a must
• Hard-working, able to work under pressure, self-motivated, responsive, detail-minded
• A good team player, with strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with the team
• Well-organized individual, able to manage multiple tasks, able to meet deadlines, and good time management
• Good command of written and spoken English
• Literate in Microsoft office programs

Frequent travel is required
