Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Purchase Manager with strong expertise in the

food industry

. The role involves supporting procurement operations, ensuring timely supply of raw and packaging materials, maintaining quality standards, and driving cost-efficiency through strategic vendor management.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in

vendor identification, selection, and relationship management

. Support in

negotiations

to procure raw and packaging materials at competitive prices. Monitor

inventory and stock levels

, coordinating with stores and production teams for timely replenishment. Ensure strict adherence to

quality standards, FSSAI compliance, and hygiene requirements

. Maintain accurate

purchase records, contracts, and MIS reports

. Track

market trends

and suggest cost-saving measures. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless procurement and supply chain operations.

Requirements:

Graduate / MBA in Supply Chain / Operations / Procurement preferred.

2-5 years of purchase/procurement experience in the food industry (mandatory).

Strong knowledge of

raw materials, packaging materials, and food industry standards

. Excellent

negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills

. Proficiency in MS Office; exposure to ERP systems preferred.
