The Assistant Project Manager - Cleanroom Projects will support the Project Manager in the planning, execution, and delivery of cleanroom and controlled environment projects. This role includes technical drawing coordination, supervising site and engineering teams, and ensuring project continuity in the absence of the Project Manager. The candidate should have a strong understanding of cleanroom standards (ISO 14644, GMP) and excellent coordination skills with consultants, clients, and cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Coordination & Support
Assist the Engineer in all stages of cleanroom project execution, from kick-off to commissioning.
Act as the primary point of contact for all project-related matters when the Project Manager is unavailable.
Ensure project timelines, quality standards, and budgets are adhered to.
2. Drawing & Technical Coordination
Coordinate with the design team, consultants, and vendors for architectural, MEP, and HVAC cleanroom drawings.
Review, verify, and track all shop drawings, GA drawings, and as-built drawings.
Ensure drawings meet cleanroom specifications, layout requirements, and client approvals.
3. Engineering & Task Management
Allocate and supervise engineers' daily activities and ensure progress according to the project schedule.
Monitor site work execution, material delivery, and installation in compliance with ISO/GMP cleanroom requirements.
Resolve technical issues promptly and escalate major challenges to the Project Manager.
4. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain updated project documentation including progress reports, inspection records, and approvals.
Prepare weekly and monthly progress updates for management and clients.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company quality management systems.
5. Client Communication
Coordinate with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure smooth project execution.
Attend project meetings, site inspections, and client review sessions.
Manage approvals, queries, and feedback in a timely manner.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related engineering discipline.
2-5 years' experience in cleanroom projects
Strong knowledge of ISO 14644 cleanroom classifications and GMP compliance.
Proficient in AutoCAD and MS Project (or equivalent project management tools).
Excellent coordination, communication, and leadership skills.
Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks under pressure.
Timely completion of assigned project milestones.
Accuracy and speed in drawing coordination and approvals.
Team productivity and minimal delays during Project Manager's absence.
Client satisfaction and minimal rework requirements.
