Job Summary

The Assistant Professor (Tamil) is responsible for teaching Tamil language and literature courses, mentoring students, contributing to academic and research activities, and supporting departmental and institutional requirements in line with

UGC and affiliating university norms

Key Responsibilities

Teach UG/PG Tamil courses as per university syllabus. Prepare lesson plans, course files, study materials, and assessments. Conduct internal examinations, assignments, seminars, and evaluations. Guide students in projects, presentations, and literary activities. Encourage participation in debates, cultural programs, and Tamil literary forums. Contribute to research, publications, and academic enrichment programs. Maintain academic records and support

NAAC/IQAC

documentation. Participate in departmental meetings and institutional committees.

Qualifications

M.A. in Tamil (Mandatory)

NET/SET or Ph.D.

as per UGC norms
Teaching experience preferred (freshers may apply where permitted)
