Job Summary:

The Assistant Professor in Pharmacy will be responsible for teaching, research, and academic development in the field of pharmaceutical sciences. The role involves delivering lectures, guiding student projects, conducting research, and contributing to institutional growth through active participation in academic, co-curricular, and administrative activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver lectures and practical sessions in subjects such as Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacognosy, and related areas. Develop and update curriculum, lesson plans, and laboratory manuals in line with PCI/UGC guidelines. Supervise student research projects, dissertations, and laboratory work. Conduct assessments, examinations, and evaluate student performance fairly and transparently. Undertake independent and collaborative research leading to quality publications. Participate in departmental meetings, workshops, and academic committees. Organize and participate in seminars, conferences, and faculty development programs. Ensure laboratory safety and maintain proper documentation of equipment and chemicals. Guide students for internships, industrial visits, and professional career development. Perform additional administrative or academic responsibilities as assigned by the HOD/Dean.

Qualifications and Experience:

Educational Qualification:

First Class in

B.Pharm

and

M.Pharm

from a recognized university (as per

Pharmacy Council of India (PCI)

norms). Ph.D. in Pharmacy (preferred but not mandatory).

Experience:

Minimum

0-2 years

of teaching/research/industry experience. Fresh candidates with strong academic and research credentials may also apply.

Eligibility:

Must fulfill

PCI and UGC

eligibility criteria for the post of Assistant Professor.

Skills and Competencies:

Strong subject knowledge in core areas of pharmaceutical sciences. Effective communication and classroom management skills. Proficiency in laboratory techniques, instrumentation, and practical training. Research aptitude and ability to publish in reputed journals. Commitment to professional ethics and institutional values. Team spirit and willingness to contribute to academic and administrative development.
