The Assistant Professor of Law will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and postgraduate law courses, guiding students in research and moot court activities, and contributing to the academic and administrative development of the department. The candidate should possess strong academic knowledge, effective communication skills, and a passion for teaching and research in the field of law.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver lectures, seminars, and tutorials in core and elective law subjects.
Design, prepare, and develop course materials and curriculum as per university and regulatory guidelines (e.g., BCI norms).
Conduct assessments, evaluate student performance, and provide constructive feedback.
Guide students in research projects, dissertations, moot court, debates, and internships.
Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum reviews, and academic events.
Engage in scholarly research and publish in reputed law journals.
Contribute to accreditation, quality assurance, and other academic processes.
Participate in faculty development programs, workshops, and conferences.
Support administrative and co-curricular activities assigned by the HOD/Dean.
Qualifications and Experience:
Educational Qualification:
LL.M. with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade) from a recognized university.
Ph.D. in Law (preferred but not mandatory as per UGC norms).
Experience:
Minimum 1-2 years of teaching/research experience in a recognized university or law college (fresh candidates with strong academic credentials may also apply).
Eligibility:
Should fulfill UGC/BCI eligibility criteria for the post of Assistant Professor.
Skills and Competencies:
Strong command over legal concepts, case laws, and recent judicial trends.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Ability to engage students through innovative teaching methods.
