Job Title:Assistant Professor - English

Sree Sakthi Engineering College invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor in English. The ideal candidate will be passionate about teaching, committed to academic excellence, and dedicated to enhancing students' communication, language, and soft skills to meet industry and academic requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Teach English language and communication courses to undergraduate engineering students. Design and deliver engaging lesson plans, assignments, and assessments. Guide students in developing effective written and verbal communication skills. Support students with academic mentoring, career readiness, and soft skill development. Participate in curriculum design, academic initiatives, and departmental activities. Engage in research, publications, and continuous professional development. Contribute to college committees, events, and outreach programs.

Eligibility Criteria (As per UGC/AICTE/Tamil Nadu Government Norms):

Educational Qualification:

Ph.D. in English (from a recognized university/institution), SET and NET completed candidates also preferred.

Experience:

Fresh Ph.D. holders or those with NET or SET qualification with relevant teaching/research experience will be preferred.

Skills Required:

Strong communication and presentation skills. Proficiency in academic writing and research. Ability to inspire and engage students in a professional learning environment.
