Assistant Professor - Chemistry

Department:

Applied Sciences & Humanities

Location:

Dehradun, Uttarakhand

Key Responsibilities:



Deliver high-quality lectures in Chemistry to undergraduate engineering students. Develop and implement innovative teaching methodologies to make learning engaging and impactful. Guide students in practical laboratory work, ensuring safety, accuracy, and conceptual clarity. Mentor students in academic projects, seminars, and research activities. Contribute to curriculum design and continuous improvement in line with academic and industry standards. Engage in departmental research initiatives, scholarly publications, and conferences. Participate actively in academic administration, student counseling, and institutional development activities. Uphold the values and vision of Shivalik College of Engineering by fostering academic discipline and professional ethics.

Desired Candidate Profile:



Educational Qualification:

Master's Degree (M.Sc. in Chemistry) with

NET/SET qualified

(as per UGC norms).

Ph.D. in Chemistry

(preferred / desirable as per AICTE norms).

Experience:

Teaching/Research experience at a reputed institution is desirable. Fresh candidates with strong academic credentials and passion for teaching may also apply.

Skills & Attributes:

Strong subject knowledge in Chemistry (Physical, Organic, Inorganic, and Applied aspects). Excellent communication and presentation skills. Passion for teaching, mentoring, and research. Commitment to academic excellence and student-centric learning. Ability to integrate technology into teaching and research.
