Salary Range: - ? 35,000 - ? 60,000 per month

Reports To:-

Principal / Head of the Department (HOD), Nursing

Role Summary

The Assistant Professor will be responsible for teaching, clinical supervision, research, and providing administrative support within the Nursing program at Acharya Institutes , The role requires a dedicated professional with a strong academic background and practical clinical experience to train the next generation of competent nursing professionals.

Key Responsibilities:-

1.

Teaching & Academics:-

Instruction:-

Deliver high-quality theoretical and practical instruction for

B.Sc. (Nursing)

and

M.Sc. (Nursing)

students in assigned subjects.

Curriculum Development:

Assist in the planning, organization, and evaluation of the curriculum and teaching programs in accordance with the Indian Nursing Council (INC) and university guidelines.

Assessment:-

Prepare, administer, and grade examinations, assignments, and practical assessments to evaluate student learning and progression.

Clinical Supervision:-

Supervise students during their clinical postings in affiliated hospitals/healthcare settings, ensuring they achieve required clinical competencies and standards of patient care.

Research & Professional Development

Research Engagement:-

Engage in research activities, including supervising student research projects and pursuing personal research leading to publications in peer-reviewed journals.

Seminars/Workshops:-

Participate in and present at professional conferences, seminars, workshops, and Faculty Development Programs to stay updated on advancements in nursing practice and education.

Institutional & Administrative Duties

Mentorship:-

Mentor and guide students on academic, professional, and personal matters.

Accreditation Support:-

Actively participate in institutional and departmental activities related to NAAC, INC, and other accreditation processes.

Administrative Tasks:-

Undertake administrative duties as assigned by the HOD or Principal, such as committee work, student counseling, and departmental coordination.

Required Qualifications & Experience

M.Sc. (Nursing)

is mandatory.

Pre-Requisite Education B.Sc. (Nursing)

,

Experience :- Minimum 2 years of experience

as a Faculty/assistant Professor /Clinical Instructor in a recognized Nursing College/Institution.

Preferred Qualification Ph.D. in Nursing

or enrollment in a Ph.D. program is highly preferred.
