The Assistant Professor (MHN) will deliver classroom and clinical teaching, supervise psychiatric postings, guide student research, and support academic documentation as per INC/TNNMC norms.
Key Responsibilities
Teach Mental Health Nursing for B.Sc, PB-B.Sc, and M.Sc Nursing students.
Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, assessments, and evaluation tools.
Supervise students in psychiatric wards, de-addiction units, OPD, and community MH programs.
Guide MSE, care plans, therapeutic communication, and psychiatric procedures.
Maintain clinical evaluation sheets, rotation plans, and attendance.
Guide UG/PG research projects and support departmental research activities.
Assist HOD with academic files, inspection documents, and institutional committees.
Mentor students and support their academic and emotional wellbeing.
Strong subject knowledge in MHN
Effective communication and teaching skills

Salary
?20,000 - ?40,000 per month (based on experience)
