The Assistant Professor (Community Health Nursing) will deliver theory and field-based teaching, supervise community postings, guide student research, and ensure academic compliance with INC/TNNMC standards.
Key Responsibilities
Teach Community Health Nursing for B.Sc, PB-B.Sc, and M.Sc Nursing programs.
Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, assessments, and evaluation tools.
Supervise students in community postings: PHC, CHC, sub-centers, schools, urban & rural health units.
Guide community surveys, family studies, health education, immunization, and national health program activities.
Maintain field work records, clinical evaluation sheets, and attendance.
Guide UG/PG research projects and assist in departmental academic activities.
Support HOD in documentation for inspections, accreditation, and committee work.
Mentor students and promote public-health ethics and professional conduct.

TNNMC Registration
Minimum
3 years
teaching/clinical experience (preferred)
Skills Required
Strong knowledge of Community Health Nursing & public health programs
Effective field supervision and teaching skills

Ability to guide surveys, statistics, and research activities
