To provide high-quality teaching, training, and mentoring to nursing students in the area of Medical-Surgical Nursing, contribute to curriculum development, engage in clinical teaching, and support research and professional activities of the department.
Key Responsibilities:
Teaching & Learning
Deliver theory and practical classes in Medical-Surgical Nursing as per the curriculum.
Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and innovative learning resources.
Conduct clinical teaching, demonstrations, and bedside teaching in affiliated hospitals.
Assess students' academic performance through tests, assignments, practicals, and examinations.
Provide academic guidance, mentoring, and counseling to students.
Clinical Training & Supervision
Supervise students during clinical postings in wards, ICUs, and specialty units.
Ensure that students gain competency in nursing procedures and patient care.
Coordinate with hospital staff for effective clinical exposure.
Curriculum & Academic Development
Participate in curriculum design, review, and implementation.
Develop teaching aids, simulation-based learning, and case studies.
Organize seminars, workshops, and continuing nursing education programs.
Research & Professional Development
Guide students in research projects, case studies, and presentations.
Engage in personal research, publications, and attend conferences.
Stay updated with advances in Medical-Surgical Nursing and evidence-based practices.
Administrative & Other Duties
Maintain student records, attendance, and evaluation reports.
Contribute to departmental meetings, committees, and institutional activities.
Assist in organizing health camps, community services, and outreach programs.
Perform other academic and administrative duties as assigned by the Head/Principal.
Qualifications & Requirements:
M.Sc. Nursing in Medical-Surgical Nursing (recognized by INC).
Registration with the State Nursing Council.
Teaching/clinical experience preferred (as per INC norms).
Strong communication, teaching, and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to student-centered learning and professional ethics.
Work Environment:
