The Assistant Professor of Law will be responsible for teaching core and elective law subjects, conducting research, mentoring students, and supporting academic and administrative activities of the department. The role requires strong legal knowledge, academic excellence, and a passion for teaching.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver lectures, tutorials, and classroom discussions for UG/PG law programs (LLB, BA LLB, LLM, etc.).
Prepare course plans, teaching materials, and evaluation tools.
Conduct internal assessments, moot court evaluations, assignments, and examinations.
Guide students in research papers, projects, internships, and moot court competitions.
Ensure alignment with Bar Council of India (BCI) guidelines.
Required Qualifications
LL.M. from a recognized university (minimum required as per UGC/BCI norms).
NET qualified (required).
Ph.D. in Law (preferred).
Teaching or research experience as per UGC norms.
Skills & Competencies
Strong command over legal subjects and contemporary legal issues.
Excellent communication, presentation, and classroom management skills.
Ability to integrate modern pedagogy tools (LMS, case-based teaching, moot practice).
Research-oriented mindset with analytical and critical thinking.
Organizational and teamwork skills.
