Job Description

The Assistant Professor will deliver undergraduate curriculum, develop industry-aligned course content, mentor students, and engage in departmental activities to foster academic excellence and practical exposure in media and communication.

Key Responsibilities:

Teach undergraduate courses in journalism, media production, advertising, and public relations.

Develop and regularly update curriculum materials to reflect evolving media trends and technologies.

Conduct research in relevant fields and contribute to academic publications or conferences.

Advise and support students on coursework, internships, college newsletter/social media projects, and skill-building initiatives.

Organize workshops, guest lectures, seminars, and hands-on media training sessions for students.

Assist in departmental administration, event management, and outreach activities, fostering partnerships with media organizations.

Participate actively in departmental meetings and college committees.

Strengthen the department's visibility and innovation in research, academic collaboration, and media-related initiatives.

Qualifications:

Master's/Ph.D. in Mass Communication, Media Studies, Journalism, or related discipline.

Prior teaching experience and/or professional media background desired
