Acharya Institutes, a leading educational institution in Bengaluru, is seeking a highly motivated and research-oriented individual to join the faculty as an Assistant Professor. The candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses, conducting high-quality research, guiding student projects, and actively contributing to the overall academic and administrative functions of the department.
Key Responsibilities
A. Academic and Teaching (Primary Focus)
Deliver High-Quality Instruction:
Conduct lectures, tutorials, and laboratory sessions for MCA programs, ensuring a strong focus on practical, industry-relevant knowledge.
Course & Curriculum Development:
Design, develop, and update course materials, syllabi, and assessment tools in line with affiliating university/AICTE/UGC guidelines and the latest industry trends.
Mentoring:
Guide and mentor students in their academic studies, project work (minor/major), and career aspirations.
Laboratory Management:
Oversee the smooth functioning of assigned labs, ensuring equipment is maintained, and practical sessions are conducted effectively.
B. Research
Conduct Research:
Engage in original research in the field of Computer Science/IT and secure grants/funding for research projects.
Publications:
Publish research findings in reputed peer-reviewed journals (SCI/Scopus/UGC CARE) and present papers at national and international conferences.
Ph.D. Guidance (Preferred):
Guide and supervise research scholars for their Ph.D. programs, if qualified to do so as per institutional norms.
Innovation:
Focus on developing patents, copyrights, and promoting innovation and entrepreneurial activities among students.
C. Departmental and Institutional Service
Administrative Duties:
Participate actively in departmental administrative tasks, including examination duties, admission counseling, accreditation work (NBA/NAAC), and committee service.
Industry-Academia Interface:
Establish and maintain strong industry connections to facilitate internships, placements, and collaborative projects for students.
Professional Development:
Continuously upgrade knowledge and skills by attending Faculty Development Programs (FDPs), workshops, and seminars.

Essential Education
Ph.D. in Computer Science/Engineering
from a recognized University/Institution. (Candidates with Ph.D. awarded or thesis submitted are preferred.)
Alternate Education (Minimum)
MCA/B.Tech. /B.E.
(Computer Science/IT/ISE)
AND BCA/ M.Tech./M.E.
(Computer Science/IT/CSE/MCA) / with First Class or equivalent at Bachelor's or Master's level.
Professional Experience
Minimum 3 to 6 years
of experience in Teaching, Research, and/or Industry at the Assistant Professor level or equivalent.
Statutory Compliance
Preference will be given to candidates who have cleared the
National Eligibility Test (NET)
or equivalent as per UGC/AICTE norms for non-Ph.D. candidates.
