Position Overview

The Assistant Professor in Information Science & Engineering (ISE) will contribute to quality teaching, hands-on laboratory instruction, student mentoring, and departmental activities. The ideal candidate should have strong fundamentals in Information Science/CSE subjects, good teaching aptitude, and readiness to participate in academic and research development.

Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching & Laboratory Handling

Teach UG-level courses in Information Science & basic CSE subjects. Conduct laboratory sessions, tutorials, internal assessments, and project-based learning. Prepare lesson plans, study materials, and maintain course files as per OBE guidelines. Support students in academic learning, mini-projects, and technical problem solving.

Departmental & Academic Activities

Assist senior faculty in curriculum preparation and academic planning. Support accreditation-related processes (NBA/NAAC) and academic documentation. Participate in departmental events such as workshops, technical talks, coding competitions, FDPs, etc. Take part in examination duties, invigilation, evaluation, and result analysis.

Research & Skill Development

Engage in research activities and aim to publish papers in journals or conferences. Upgrade technical skills through training, certifications, and FDPs. Support departmental research initiatives and contribute to creating a research culture.

Student Mentorship

Act as a mentor for a designated group of students, offering guidance on academics, discipline, and career aspects. Encourage participation in technical clubs, innovation activities, and competitions.

Required Qualifications (As per AICTE / VTU Norms)

B.E./B.Tech.

in Information Science & Engineering / Computer Science & Engineering with

First Class

.

M.E./M.Tech.

in Information Science, CSE, or relevant specialization with

First Class

. Strong fundamentals in programming, data structures, databases, networking, algorithms, and IT-related subjects. Good communication skills and teaching ability.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Certifications or project experience in: Data Analytics, Cloud, AI/ML, Cyber Security, DBMS, Networking, Software Development, etc. Participation in workshops, internships, or academic projects during PG. Dedicated, disciplined, and willing to contribute to departmental growth. Must be willing to relocate to Ballari if not currently residing there.

Pay: ?40,000.00 - ?60,000.00 per month
