Assistant Professor (Mechanical Engineering)

Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Academic Duties

Teach undergraduate courses in

Workshop Technology , Design Thinking & Idea Lab, and other core Mechanical Engineering subjects.

Prepare lesson plans, course materials, lab manuals, and assessment tools.

Guide students in hands-on workshop practice, machine tool operations, safety procedures, and fabrication techniques.

Facilitate innovation-based courses, including design thinking processes, problem-solving methodologies, ideation, prototyping, and product development.

Mentor student teams for internal and external competitions, hackathons, and design challenges.

Administrative & Institutional Responsibilities

Participate in departmental meetings, academic committees, accreditation processes, and curriculum development.

Engage in student counseling, mentoring, and career guidance.

Support the institution's initiatives related to innovation, entrepreneurship, and incubation.

Qualifications & Experience

M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering

Preferred:

Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering (or pursuing).

Experience in teaching Workshop Technology or managing engineering workshops.

Exposure to Design Thinking, Product Development, or Innovation Labs.

Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, Fusion 360, AutoCAD).
