Roles & Responsibilities:

Teaching and Instruction

: Deliver lectures, design courses, and supervise lab sessions for undergraduate and graduate students. Evaluate student performance through assignments, exams, and projects, and offer mentoring during office hours.

Research

: Conduct innovative research in Maths, publish findings in journals, and collaborate with colleagues and students on research projects. Apply for funding and contribute to scientific knowledge in the field.

Curriculum Development

: Develop and update course content, including syllabi, reading materials, and lab exercises. Implement new teaching techniques and technologies to enhance student learning.

Student Supervision and Mentoring

: Supervise student projects, theses, and dissertations, and guide students in their academic and professional development.

Administrative Duties

: Participate in departmental meetings and activities, contribute to academic planning, and assist with accreditation and reporting processes.

Community Engagement and Outreach

: Represent the department at conferences, engage with the local community, and help recruit prospective students.

Professional Development

: Stay updated with advancements in the field, attend conferences, and participate in workshops. Build professional networks and maintain memberships in relevant academic organizations.
