Assistant Professor - English

Job Summary:

The Assistant Professor in English will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and/or postgraduate courses in English language and literature, developing academic content, conducting research, and contributing to the overall academic excellence of the institution.

Key Responsibilities:

Teaching & Learning:

Plan, prepare, and deliver lectures and tutorials in English language, literature, and communication skills. Develop and update course materials, lesson plans, and assessment methods in line with curriculum requirements. Evaluate and grade students' classwork, assignments, and examinations.

Academic & Research Activities:

Engage in research, publications, and academic projects in the field of English and related disciplines. Participate in seminars, workshops, and conferences to enhance professional knowledge. Guide students in academic projects, dissertations, and presentations.

Student Mentorship:

Provide academic and career guidance to students. Maintain a positive and supportive learning environment.

Administrative Duties:

Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum design, and institutional activities. Assist in organizing academic events such as guest lectures, debates, and literary festivals. Support the institution's goals and policies through active participation in committees and initiatives.

Qualifications:

Education:

Master's Degree in English / English Literature from a recognized university.

Desirable:

NET / SLET / Ph.D. as per UGC norms.

Experience:

0-3 years (freshers with strong academic background may also apply).

Skills Required:

Strong command over English language (spoken and written). Excellent teaching, communication, and presentation skills. Research and analytical ability. Proficiency in academic writing and use of technology in teaching. Team-oriented and student-centered approach.

Pay: ?25,000.00 - ?35,000.00 per month
