Job Summary:

We are inviting applications from dynamic, qualified, and experienced candidates for the positions in

Agronomy

and

Horticulture

. The selected candidates will contribute to teaching, research, and academic development of the Agriculture Department, while actively participating in institutional development, research publications, student mentorship, and industry collaboration.

Eligibility Criteria:

For Assistant Professor:

Ph.D. in Agronomy / Horticulture, Master's Degree (M.Sc./M.Tech.) in Agronomy / Horticulture with minimum 55% marks. NET qualification or Ph.D. as per UGC/ICAR norms. Teaching/research/industry experience will be preferred. Strong subject knowledge and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver lectures, practical sessions, and field demonstrations related to Agronomy and/or Horticulture. Develop curriculum, teaching materials, lab manuals, and research proposals. Conduct research in specialized areas and publish findings in reputed journals. Guide undergraduate and postgraduate students in research projects, dissertations, and internships. Organize seminars, workshops, training programs, and industry-oriented projects. Contribute to departmental accreditations (ICAR, NAAC, UGC, PCI, etc.) Collaborate with industry, government bodies, and research organizations for funded projects and consultancy work. Participate in university committees, academic audits, and administrative roles as assigned. Maintain student discipline, mentor students, and support their academic growth and career counseling.

Preferred Skills:

Expertise in crop production techniques, soil management, horticultural practices, and sustainable agriculture. Proficiency in using modern teaching aids and research tools. Capability to establish research labs and manage field trials. Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
