Assistant Professor / Head of the Department (HOD)

HKBK College of Engineering, Bangalore

Employment Type:

Full-Time | Immediate Joiners Preferred

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification:

M.E. / M.Tech/ M.Sc / M.Phil / M.A / Ph.D. in the relevant discipline (Ph.D. awarded or pursuing in the final stage is mandatory). First class in all preceding degrees (UG & PG).

Experience:

Minimum 5 years of teaching/research/industry experience. For HOD positions, prior experience as a departmental lead is desirable.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Assistant Professor:

Deliver engaging lectures and conduct practical sessions. Prepare course materials and lesson plans. Mentor and guide students in academic and career development. Engage in curriculum development and continuous improvement. Participate in department meetings, seminars, and academic events. Conduct internal assessments and evaluate student performance.

Head of the Department (HOD):

Provide academic leadership and strategic direction for the department. Plan and implement department academic schedules and activities. Monitor faculty performance and student outcomes. Ensure compliance with university and AICTE norms. Facilitate research, projects, and industry collaboration. Represent the department in institutional committees and accreditation work.

Salary:

As per norms and experience. Higher salary for exceptional profiles.
