The Assistant Professor - Commerce is responsible for teaching undergraduate, engaging in academic research, mentoring students, and contributing to institutional development through academic and administrative responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities Teaching & Academic Delivery
Deliver high-quality lectures in Commerce subjects such as:
Accounting
Finance
Business Management
Economics
Taxation
Auditing
Marketing
Prepare lesson plans, course materials, and teaching aids.
Use innovative teaching methodologies, including ICT tools, case studies, and experiential learning.
Conduct tutorials, seminars, workshops, and remedial classes.
Evaluate students through assignments, internal assessments, and examinations.
Student Mentoring & Support
Act as a mentor or academic advisor to students.
Guide students in academic projects, internships, and career planning.
Support students in competitive exams and higher education pursuits.
Administrative & Institutional Responsibilities
Participate in departmental and college-level committees.
Assist in curriculum development and syllabus framing as per university guidelines.
Qualifications & Eligibility
Master's Degree in Commerce (M.Com)
Ph.D. in Commerce or allied subjects is an added advantage.
Both Freshers and Experienced candidates are considered.
Skills & Competencies
Strong subject knowledge in Commerce and related disciplines.
Effective communication and presentation skills.
Proficiency in digital teaching tools.
Research aptitude and academic writing skills.
Student-centric approach and mentoring ability.
