Job Summary

The Assistant Professor of Food & Beverage Services is responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, conducting research, and contributing to academic and industry engagement in the field of hospitality with a specialization in Food & Beverage operations. The role involves curriculum development, student mentoring, practical training, and scholarly research aligned with university standards.

Key Responsibilities -Teaching & Academic Duties

Teach undergraduate courses in

Food & Beverage Service, Restaurant Operations, Hospitality Operations, Beverage Studies, and Service Management

Develop course outlines, lesson plans, learning materials, and assessment tools Conduct practical demonstrations and laboratory sessions in F&B service Evaluate student performance through examinations, projects, and practical assessments Mentor and advise students on academic and career development
Research & Scholarly Activities

Conduct independent and collaborative research in hospitality and F&B services Publish research papers in peer-reviewed journals and present at conferences Apply for research grants and participate in funded research projects Supervise student research projects, dissertations, and theses
Curriculum Development & Academic Service

Contribute to curriculum design and periodic syllabus revision Participate in academic committees, accreditation, and quality assurance activities Support program reviews and compliance with regulatory bodies Engage in continuous professional development
Industry & Institutional Engagement

Maintain active industry linkages with hotels, restaurants, and hospitality organizations Coordinate internships, industrial training, and industry visits Organize workshops, seminars, guest lectures, and certification programs Assist in departmental administrative and outreach activities
QualificationsEssential

Master's degree in

Hospitality Management / Hotel Management / Food & Beverage Management / Tourism

or a related field NET/SET/PhD as per

UGC / regulatory authority norms

(requirements may vary by country) Strong knowledge of Food & Beverage service operations and hospitality standards
Desirable

PhD in Hospitality or related discipline Prior teaching experience at university or college level Industry experience in hotels, restaurants, or catering operations Research publications in reputed journals
Skills & Competencies

Excellent communication and presentation skills Strong practical knowledge of F&B service styles and operations Research and academic writing proficiency Ability to use educational technology and learning management systems Leadership, teamwork, and mentoring abilities
Work Environment

Classroom, training restaurants, laboratories, and research settings May involve industry interaction, student supervision, and academic events
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?50,000.00 - ?60,000.00 per month
