Responsibilities

Teaching and Curriculum Development:

Design and deliver engaging undergraduate English language and literature courses. Develop and update course materials, lesson plans, and syllabi to align with academic standards and student learning outcomes. Foster an interactive and stimulating learning environment that promotes critical thinking and effective communication. Utilize modern teaching methodologies and digital tools to enhance the learning experience.

Mentoring and Student Support:

Provide academic guidance and mentorship to students in their language learning and literary exploration. Assist students in developing strong reading, writing, speaking, and analytical skills. Inspire students to appreciate literature, creative writing, and linguistic studies.

Research and Scholarship:

Conduct independent research in the field of English language, literature, linguistics, or related areas. Publish research findings in reputed journals and present at academic conferences. Seek funding opportunities for research projects that contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the field.

Collaboration and Professional Development:

Collaborate with faculty members across disciplines to enhance interdisciplinary learning. Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum development, and program assessment activities. Stay updated with current trends and advancements in English studies and engage in professional development activities.

College and Community Engagement:

Support the college's mission by contributing to innovative teaching and research initiatives. Engage in community outreach programs to promote English language proficiency and literary appreciation. Actively participate in college events, committees, and academic initiatives.

Qualifications:

PG with Ph.D. / SET/NET/M.Phil qualification is mandatory. 3 to 5 years of teaching experience at the undergraduate level. Strong passion for teaching and mentoring students. Excellent command of the English language with expertise in literature and communication studies. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to foster an inclusive and engaging learning environment. Research potential with a commitment to scholarly contributions. Previous teaching experience at the Post graduate level is preferred.
