Job Description

The Assistant Professor in English will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and/ or postgraduate students, developing curriculum, conducting research, mentoring students, and contributing to departmental academic growth. The role requires a passion for literature, linguistics, and communication along with strong teaching and research skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Teach courses in English Literature, Language, Communication, and related subjects. Design and update curriculum and course materials. Conduct lectures, tutorials, seminars, and workshops. Guide students in academic projects, dissertations, and research work. Engage in research and publish papers in reputed journals. Participate in departmental meetings, academic committees, and institutional events. Assist in organizing literary events, debates, and cultural programs. Evaluate and grade students' performance through assignments, exams, and projects. Maintain academic integrity and discipline among students.

Required Qualifications:

Master's Degree in English/ English Literature with at least 55% marks. UGC NET or Ph.D. qualification as per UGC norms. Prior teaching experience at the college/university level is preferred.

Desired Skills:

Good communication and classroom management skills. Research aptitude and academic writing ability. Proficiency in Online teaching tools and ICT integration. Passion for mentoring and guiding students.

Pay Scale:

As per University norms
