Assistant Professor Cum Assistant Nursing Superintendent,

Key Responsibilities

Academic Responsibilities (Assistant Professor):

Deliver lectures, clinical instruction, and mentor nursing students.

Contribute to curriculum planning, development, and Implementation.

Supervise students in clinical practice and evaluate performance.

Participate in research, seminars, workshops, and professional development programs.

Collaborate with faculty members for academic and co-curricular initiatives.

Administrative & Clinical Responsibilities (Assistant Nursing Superintendent):

Assist in the overall planning and supervision of hospital nursing services.

Coordinate with clinical staff for effective patient care and student training.

Ensure adherence to clinical standards, policies, and protocols.

Monitor ward management activities, ensuring optimal patient care, cleanliness, and resource availability.

Oversee staff nurse/nursing supervisors personnel management, including duty rosters, leave planning, staff appraisals, and performance tracking.

Participate in hospital audits, quality improvement initiatives, and administrative reviews.

Facilitate professional development and conduct in-service education for nursing staff.

Eligibility Criteria (As per INC Norms)

M.Sc. Nursing in any specialty from a recognized institution.

Minimum 3 years of teaching experience after M.Sc. Nursing in a recognized nursing institution.

Must be a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife (RNRM) with any State Nursing Council.

Other conditions as per Indian Nursing Council (INC) and university regulations.

Skills and Competencies

Strong clinical and academic knowledge.

Leadership and team coordination abilities.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Experience in ward management and staff nurse personnel supervision.

Familiarity with hospital systems and patient care protocols.

Commitment to professional ethics and continuous learning.

Remuneration

As per institutional norms.
