Job Description

The Assistant Professor (UIC) is responsible for delivering high-quality academic instruction, guiding students in research, and contributing to curriculum development. The role involves engaging in scholarly activities, publishing research papers, and participating in departmental committees. Assistant Professors are expected to foster a positive learning environment, mentor students in their academic growth, and maintain up-to-date subject expertise while ensuring teaching excellence aligned with institutional standards and educational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver lectures and tutorials ensuring clear subject knowledge delivery. Guide and mentor students in academic research and development. Prepare lesson plans, course materials, and effective teaching strategies. Evaluate student performance fairly through examinations, assignments, and projects. Conduct scholarly research and publish findings in recognized academic journals. Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and institutional academic programs. Supervise postgraduate and undergraduate projects ensuring research quality standards. Maintain updated knowledge of subject advancements and teaching methodologies.

Strong subject knowledge with ability to simplify complex concepts. Effective communication and presentation skills for engaging academic teaching.
