Position Overview

The Assistant Professor in CSE (AIML) will teach foundational and advanced subjects in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, handle practical labs, guide student projects, and support departmental and research activities. The ideal candidate must have strong technical knowledge, programming skills, a passion for teaching, and an eagerness to contribute to academic and professional growth.

Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching & Lab Handling

Teach UG-level courses in AI, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Data Science, and core CSE subjects. Conduct laboratory sessions using Python, ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn), and related tools. Prepare lesson plans, course materials, and maintain OBE-based documentation. Evaluate students through assignments, internal assessments, and practical exams.

Academic & Departmental Activities

Assist the department in curriculum design and academic planning. Participate in AI/ML-related seminars, workshops, hackathons, and coding competitions. Support NBA/NAAC accreditation documentation and quality assurance processes. Take part in invigilation, paper setting, evaluation, and examination duties.

Research & Skill Development

Engage in basic/applied research in AI/ML or related areas. Aim to publish papers in conferences and journals. Upgrade skills through online certifications, FDPs, and advanced training programs. Support departmental research initiatives and help build an AI-focused ecosystem.

Student Mentoring

Guide students in mini-projects, capstone projects, internships, and AI/ML competitions. Act as a mentor for a group of students, offering academic and career guidance. Encourage students to participate in technical clubs, innovation cells, and research groups.

Required Qualifications (As per AICTE / VTU Norms)

B.E./B.Tech.

in CSE / IT / AIML with

First Class

.

M.E./M.Tech.

in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, CSE (AI/ML specialization), or related field with

First Class

. Strong programming skills in Python and knowledge of AI/ML algorithms, neural networks, and data engineering concepts. Teaching aptitude and good communication skills.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Hands-on experience or certifications in: Machine Learning & Deep Learning Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch Data Analytics & Visualization Cloud-based AI (AWS, Azure, Google) Experience with academic projects, internships, or applied research. Dedicated, student-friendly, and willing to participate actively in departmental growth. Willing to relocate to Ballari if not currently residing there.

Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
