Assistant Professor in Computer Science
. The ideal candidate will possess strong teaching abilities, a passion for research, and a commitment to academic excellence in areas such as programming, data science, artificial intelligence, software engineering, and emerging technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Learning
Deliver lectures, tutorials, and lab sessions in core and elective Computer Science subjects such as Data Structures, Algorithms, Programming Languages (C/C++, Java, Python), Database Management Systems, Operating Systems, Computer Networks, Web Development, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Cybersecurity.
Design and update course materials, lesson plans, and evaluation methods in line with academic requirements and industry trends.
Integrate modern tools, technology, and e-learning platforms into the teaching process.
Research & Development
Conduct research in Computer Science or interdisciplinary areas, aiming for publication in reputed journals and conferences.
Seek external funding and work on collaborative research projects.
Student Mentorship
Supervise student projects, internships, and dissertations.
Provide academic and career guidance to students.
Institutional & Community Contribution
Participate actively in departmental meetings, curriculum design, and quality assurance processes.
Organize seminars, workshops, hackathons, and outreach programs.
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Qualification:
Master's Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology / Computer Applications (M.Sc., M.Tech., MCA, or equivalent) with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade) from a recognized university.
Ph.D. in the relevant field (preferred) as per UGC norms.
Eligibility Criteria:
NET/SLET/SET qualification as per UGC regulations (exemption for Ph.D. holders as per UGC guidelines).
Experience:
Prior teaching and/or research experience at the university or college level will be an advantage.
Skills:
Proficiency in programming languages, software development tools, and emerging technologies.
Strong communication, presentation, and classroom management skills.
Ability to guide students in research and practical projects.
