Position Overview

The Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering will be responsible for delivering effective teaching, handling laboratory sessions, guiding students academically, and supporting departmental activities. The ideal candidate must have strong subject knowledge, good communication skills, and commitment to academic excellence.

Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching & Academic Support

Teach UG-level courses in Computer Science & Engineering with clarity and strong conceptual delivery. Conduct laboratory sessions, tutorials, assignments, and assessments. Prepare lesson plans, study materials, and course files following OBE guidelines. Support students with academic queries, project guidance, and learning improvement.

Departmental & Institutional Responsibilities

Assist senior faculty in curriculum development and academic planning. Participate in departmental events such as workshops, seminars, hackathons, and technical activities. Maintain academic documentation for accreditation (NBA/NAAC) and quality audits. Contribute to exam-related duties, internal assessments, and result analysis.

Research & Professional Development

Engage in research activities and publish papers in conferences/journals. Continuously upgrade subject knowledge through FDPs, certifications, and training programs. Support departmental research initiatives and help establish research culture.

Student Mentoring

Act as a mentor for assigned students and support their academic and career-related growth. Encourage students to participate in co-curricular and technical competitions.

Required Qualifications (As per AICTE / VTU Norms)

B.E./B.Tech.

in Computer Science & Engineering with

First Class

.

M.E./M.Tech.

in Computer Science & Engineering / relevant CSE specialization with

First Class

. Strong fundamentals in core CSE subjects such as programming, algorithms, data structures, databases, networks, OS, etc. Good communication skills, teaching aptitude, and ability to handle classroom and lab sessions.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Certifications or expertise in emerging CSE areas (AI/ML, Cloud, Cyber Security, Data Science, Web & App Development, etc.). Participation in seminars, workshops, internships, or academic projects during PG. Positive attitude, discipline, teamwork, and willingness to contribute to the department. Willing to locate or relocate to Ballari as required.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
