M.Sc Nursing (Community Health Nursing)

Must be registered with the

State Nursing Council / Indian Nursing Council (INC)

Ph.D in Nursing - Desirable*

Experience

Minimum 3 years of teaching and/or clinical experience

after M.Sc Nursing Experience in

Community Health / Public Health Nursing

is mandatory
Job ResponsibilitiesTeaching & Academic Duties

Plan and deliver

theory and practical classes

for Undergraduate and Postgraduate Nursing students Prepare

lesson plans, teaching materials, and field practice schedules

Guide students during

community field postings, family health studies, surveys, and health camps

Conduct and evaluate

internal assessments, practical examinations, and viva voce

Mentor students for academic and professional development
Community & Field Practice Responsibilities

Supervise students in

urban and rural community health settings

Organize and participate in

health education programs, school health services, and national health programs

Promote

preventive, promotive, and rehabilitative health services

Coordinate with

PHCs, CHCs, NGOs, and local health authorities

Research & Scholarly Activities

Participate in and guide

UG/PG research projects

Publish research articles in

peer-reviewed journals

Attend and contribute to

workshops, conferences, seminars, and FDPs

Administrative & Institutional Duties

Assist in

curriculum development and syllabus revision

Maintain academic and field practice records as per

INC / University norms

Participate in

examinations, accreditation processes (INC, NAAC)

, and institutional committees Support community outreach and extension activities
Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of

Community Health / Public Health Nursing

Effective

teaching, communication, and presentation skills

Ability to plan and manage community-based activities Research orientation and professional ethics Teamwork and leadership qualities
