The Assistant Professor (Commerce) is responsible for teaching commerce subjects, mentoring students, supporting practical and industry-oriented learning, and contributing to academic and institutional activities in accordance with
UGC and affiliating university norms
.
Key Responsibilities
Teach UG B.Com courses as per university syllabus.
Handle core subjects such as Financial Accounting, Corporate Accounting, Cost Accounting, Business Law, Taxation, Auditing, Banking, and Business Economics.
Prepare lesson plans, course files, teaching materials, and assessments.
Conduct internal tests, assignments, case studies, and student evaluations.
Guide students in projects, internships, and commerce-related practical work.
Organize guest lectures, industrial visits, and commerce seminars.
Encourage student participation in academic competitions and enrichment activities.
Contribute to research, publications, and academic development programs.
Maintain academic records and support
NAAC/IQAC
documentation.
Participate in departmental and institutional committees.
Qualifications
M.Com
(Mandatory)
NET/SET or Ph.D.
as per UGC norms
Teaching or industry experience preferred (freshers may apply where permitted)
Skills Required
Strong knowledge of accounting, finance, and commerce subjects
Effective teaching and communication skills
Practical-oriented and case-study-based teaching ability
