The Assistant Professor (Chemistry) is responsible for teaching chemistry courses, conducting laboratory classes, mentoring students, and contributing to academic planning and research activities in accordance with
UGC and affiliating university norms
.
Key Responsibilities
Teach UG/PG Chemistry courses as per university syllabus.
Prepare lesson plans, course files, teaching materials, and assessments.
Handle theory and practical classes in
Organic, Inorganic, Physical, and Analytical Chemistry
.
Supervise laboratory experiments and ensure lab safety and proper maintenance.
Conduct internal tests, practical examinations, and student evaluations.
Guide students in projects, seminars, and research-related activities.
Contribute to research, publications, and academic enrichment programs.
Maintain academic and laboratory records; support
NAAC/IQAC
documentation.
Participate in departmental and institutional committees.
Qualifications
M.Sc in Chemistry (Mandatory)
NET/SET or Ph.D.
as per UGC norms
Teaching experience preferred (freshers may apply where permitted)
Skills Required
Strong conceptual and practical knowledge in Chemistry
Effective teaching and laboratory-handling skills
Knowledge of chemical instrumentation and safety procedures
Academic planning and documentation abilities
Research orientation and mentoring capability
