Job Description

The Department of Science & Humanities at Ahalia School of Engineering & Technology invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor position. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellence in teaching, research, and service in the field of Chemistry. The faculty member will be expected to contribute to undergraduate and/or graduate education, develop an active research program, and participate in departmental and institutional service.

Key Responsibilities:Teaching:

Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in chemistry (e.g., general chemistry, organic, inorganic, analytical, physical chemistry, etc.) Supervise laboratory sessions and student research projects Develop and update course materials and curricula Advise and mentor students on academic and career goals

Research:

Establish and maintain an independent and externally funded research program Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals Collaborate with faculty within and outside the department Involve students in research and scholarly activities

Service:

Serve on departmental, college, and university committees Participate in academic advising and student recruitment activities Contribute to the development and accreditation of academic programs Engage in community outreach or professional development

Required Qualifications:

MSc in Chemistry Evidence of scholarly research and potential for continued research productivity Demonstrated ability or potential to teach at the undergraduate and/or graduate level Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Pay: From ?21,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
