The Assistant Professor (Biochemistry) is responsible for teaching biochemistry courses, conducting laboratory classes, mentoring students, and contributing to academic planning and research activities in accordance with
UGC and affiliating university norms
.
Key Responsibilities
Teach UG/PG Biochemistry courses as per university syllabus.
Prepare lesson plans, course files, teaching materials, and assessments.
Handle theory and practical classes in areas such as Clinical Biochemistry, Enzymology, Metabolism, Molecular Biology, and Nutrition.
Supervise laboratory experiments and ensure proper lab safety and maintenance.
Conduct internal tests, practical evaluations, and student assessments.
Guide students in projects, seminars, and research-related activities.
Contribute to research, publications, and academic enrichment programs.
Maintain academic and laboratory records; support
NAAC/IQAC
documentation.
Participate in departmental and institutional committees.
Qualifications
M.Sc in Biochemistry (Mandatory)
NET/SET or Ph.D.
as per UGC norms
Teaching experience preferred (freshers may apply where permitted)
Skills Required
Strong subject knowledge in Biochemistry
Effective teaching and laboratory-handling skills
Knowledge of biochemical instrumentation and safety procedures
Academic planning and documentation abilities
Research orientation and mentoring capability
