Overview

PENNEP is seeking a results-driven and detail-oriented Assistant Production Manager- Food Manufacturingto join our Client's team in Kapurthala. The ideal candidate will oversee day-to-day production activities, maintain strict quality and safety standards, and drive operational efficiency across the plant.

Responsibilities

Plan and oversee daily production activities to consistently achieve output and delivery targets Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene, and regulatory standards including

HACCP, FSSAI, and FDA

Monitor production operations to maintain product quality, efficiency, and minimal wastage Lead, supervise, and train production teams to drive productivity and performance excellence Collaborate closely with

procurement, quality assurance, maintenance, and dispatch

teams for smooth operations Manage the availability, handling, and efficient use of raw materials and packaging resources Implement and monitor cold chain processes to preserve frozen food quality and safety Ensure proper functioning of plant machinery and coordinate scheduled preventive maintenance Track key production KPIs and prepare accurate daily and weekly operational reports Enforce workplace safety, environmental guidelines, and best manufacturing practices.

Required Skills & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Food Technology, Engineering, or related field 3+ years of experience in food manufacturing (preferably frozen food) Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and other food safety standards Experience with cold chain logistics and frozen product handling Proficiency in production planning and resource optimisation Excellent team leadership and problem-solving skills.
