to support and optimize our returnable packaging lifecycle. The role involves managing packaging assets, ensuring timely circulation between suppliers and plants/customers, and improving operational efficiency in line with sustainability and cost objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Returnable Packaging Management:
Monitor and manage end-to-end returnable packaging cycle (e.g., bins, crates, pallets, racks, totes).
Track packaging movement and ensure accurate inventory levels.
Collaborate with logistics, warehouse, suppliers, and manufacturing teams to coordinate timely returns and dispatches.
Operations Support:
Maintain packaging fleet availability at all nodes of the supply chain.
Optimize packaging routes to reduce lead times and logistics cost.
Identify and eliminate packaging bottlenecks across the supply chain.
Process & Compliance:
Ensure compliance with packaging SOPs, quality checks, and safety standards.
Work on packaging return failure analysis and implement corrective actions.
Ensure adherence to environmental and sustainability guidelines related to reusable packaging.
Data & Reporting:
Monitor key KPIs: turn-around time, packaging loss/damage rate, asset utilization.
Generate and present packaging performance reports to senior management.
Continuous Improvement:
Support packaging design changes and new implementation projects.
Participate in cost-saving and lean initiatives involving packaging.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Strong understanding of supply chain logistics and returnable packaging systems.
Proficient in MS Excel, ERP tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and WMS platforms.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple customers.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
