Job Summary:
We are looking for an
Assistant Officer - Gardening
with a minimum of
3 years of experience
, preferably in a
steel plant or large industrial environment
. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining gardens, green belts, and landscaped areas within the plant premises, ensuring healthy growth of plants and adherence to environmental and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and maintain gardens, lawns, nurseries, and green belt areas
Plan and execute plantation activities as per seasonal requirements
Monitor plant health, irrigation, pruning, and soil management
Ensure proper use of fertilizers, pesticides, and organic inputs
Coordinate with gardeners, contractors, and manpower teams
Maintain records of plantation, mortality, and maintenance activities
Support environmental initiatives and compliance requirements
Ensure housekeeping and aesthetic upkeep of plant premises
Follow safety guidelines and company policies within the plant
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum
3 years of experience
in gardening / horticulture activities
Experience in
steel plant / large industrial premises
preferred
Knowledge of plants, landscaping, irrigation systems, and soil health
Basic understanding of environmental norms and green belt development
Ability to manage manpower and outdoor activities
Good coordination and reporting skills
